Merit RV is proudly owned and operated by Nathan and Nicola Butler in New Plymouth. We have been selling quality lifestyle vehicles throughout New Zealand for over two decades. With many years of experience and our extra ordinary team we are here to help you turn your leisure dreams into reality wherever you are based in the country.

Merit RV has a long standing connection with Swift Group UK – the UK’s leading recreational vehicle manufacturer. We are passionate about their award winning products and import our new stock direct from the manufacturer Swift Group, UK. We have one of the largest selections of Swift products in the country. Together with Swift we have developed the exclusive Swift Explorer range of caravans. These caravans have been built for New Zealanders who enjoy freedom camping.

We have built a reputation through our personalised customer service and extensive range of quality new and used RVs. Our knowledgeable team are here to help with all things camping. Ken, Neil and Rod work incredibly hard to keep things running smoothly.

We do things a little differently here and we strive to make things as easy as possible. We include some extras others would consider additional like fitted tanks and solar systems. We can customise your RV by adding any optional extras at your request prior to collection (contact us for more details). If you have purchased a new caravan we check your tow vehicle, tow bar and tow ball, sort the wiring and ensure that the tow system is safe before you leave. There are no extra on road costs to worry about and you’ll be set to start camping when you drive out the gate. When you purchase a new Swift product through us you have peace of mind that your new RV is covered by the Swift supported warranties. You are also eligible for free annual habitation servicing* with Merit RV for the duration you own the RV from new.

We care about our customers and take time with them. We set aside half a day to do a dedicated one on one handover at the time customers collect their new RV before we send them to the local campground for a couple of nights on us. That way you can become familiar with your new purchase and we are nearby for any questions that may arise before moving on to your next stop.
